R. H. Scales Company was founded in 1933 by Robert H. Scales.  For its first sixty years, its main location was in Boston.  In 1959 it moved to the location on Brookline Avenue in Boston shown below.

Today, its main warehouse location is in Westwood, Massachusetts, and it has branch locations in Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, Maine, and Vermont.
